Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GroshMe ("the Service"), available at groshme.com and through our mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GroshMe is an AI-powered meal planning and grocery budgeting tool. The Service generates meal plans, estimates grocery costs, finds current sale prices, and produces organized shopping lists based on your preferences and budget.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address and accurate information. You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service beyond your own account data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our written permission
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content
  • Submit recipes or content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others

5. User Content

You may submit recipes and other content to the Service. You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting content, you grant GroshMe a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and store that content in connection with operating and improving the Service. User-submitted recipes are visible only to the submitting user unless you choose to share them.

6. Pricing Information

Grocery prices displayed in the Service are estimates based on available data from retailers and public sources. Actual prices at your store may differ. Sale prices are sourced from weekly circulars and may not reflect all current promotions. GroshMe does not guarantee the accuracy of any price shown. Always verify prices at the point of purchase.

7. AI-Generated Content

Meal plans and recipe suggestions are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing recipes for allergens, dietary concerns, and food safety. GroshMe is not a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice.

8. Pricing and Future Paid Plans

GroshMe is currently free during our beta period with no feature restrictions. We may introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If we do, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance and clearly present pricing before any purchase is required. No existing data or previously generated lists will be removed.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data including your profile, household information, shopping lists, pantry items, favorites, and history. This action cannot be undone.

10. Intellectual Property

The GroshMe name, logo, design, and software are the property of GroshMe. The recipe catalog includes content aggregated from public sources and attributed accordingly. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the Service's proprietary content, recipe database, or pricing data.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any adverse reactions to recipes, ingredients, or dietary suggestions provided through the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GroshMe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury resulting from following recipes or dietary suggestions.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
